October 14, 2011 AHS vs. Roswell Game 6:30 PM
On October 14th, we will be starting a new tradition for AHS. We are uniting as a High School and a community to host a "Pink Out" football game in honor of family and friends that have battled breast cancer.
This will be a great way to unify our High School around a great cause that has touched so many of our lives. We are of course going to be raising money for those who can't afford treatment as well as research to find a cure. Everyone is joining in to help make this event exciting and fun. "Raiders for the cure" will be collecting donations and spreading the word at school. The Football Booster is decorating the stadium. The Band is planning a special surprise at half time. We have Honorary Captains representing different areas of the school.
Our cheerleaders will be hosting our main fundraising event which will be the "Pink Out" T-shirts that you will see on sale for the next two weeks at school lunches and at the game on Friday, October 14th. We are selling them for $10 with all proceeds going to North Side's Breast Care program locally and Susan G. Komen. Parents PLEASE buy a shirt and buy one for your son and/or daughter and show up to the game on October 14th all Pinked out! Dads that means you too!
